Abstract

Information is a pivotal concept, central to research and technological advancements. In quantum physics, information plays an active role in shaping reality, moving beyond mere descriptions of matter and energy. Complexity sciences view information as an organizing principle, and artificial intelligence exemplifies its importance through exponential growth. The Information Framework expands current scientific paradigms by recognizing information as a fundamental, irreducible component of reality alongside matter and energy, represented by the formula [ R' = (E=mc²)↦ I ]. It posits information as a fundamental dimension that, while emerging relationally from interaction, possesses causal power and significance, challenging purely reductionist approaches. Although the Information Framework remains a philosophical hypothesis, it is deeply informed by scientific insights, proposing a trans-disciplinary perspective that integrates physics, biology, AI, and philosophy to understand reality's interactive dimensions. Still under development, it invites critique, refinement, and testing to address challenges across diverse fields and deepen our understanding of the interplay between matter, energy, and information.
